It recognizes Freedman’s nearly 50 years of service in health care; his commitment to caring for underserved populations; and his contributions as a former president and CEO of Einstein and former board member of America’s Essential Hospitals. This lecture series is designed to highlight issues critical to the evolving challenges, innovations, and landscape of health care and essential hospitals.

The 2023 Gage Awards recognized America’s Essential Hospitals members for their exceptional achievements in quality improvement and population health. The awards distinguished association members nationally as industry leaders and promote the spread of outstanding programs and best practices.
